Emporia State University is well on pace to meet its fundraising goal for the Together Forward campaign.
The campaign was officially announced to the community during February’s Founder’s Day ceremony, however, ESU Foundation President Shane Shively says the campaign actually began back in 2017 following the conclusion of the university’s Now and Forever campaign. Shively says Now and Forever “elevated what’s possible.”
The Together Forward campaign’s goal was set at $50 million. Shively was very proud to announce that as of last week the campaign had already managed to raise $47 million.
The campaign centers around three core pillars, High impact learning, attracting the best talents in arts and athletics and providing unrestricted support through the Together, Forward fund. Foundation Vice President of Development Bethany Tegtmeir says high-impact learning has become a more integral piece of education in recent years.
ESU is hoping to hit the $50 million fundraising goal by homecoming of this year. Shively and Tegtmeier both say that “all gifts count” and there is no minimum or maximum amount that can be donated to the campaign.
