The Kansas City Royals scored 4 runs in the 5th inning on the way to a 6-3 win over the Minnesota Twins yesterday.
The Royals scored on a ground out by Hunter Dozier, a single by Whit Merrifield, a Sacrifice fly by Andrew Benintendi, and a single by Salvador Perez.
Hunter Dozier added a solo home run in the 9th.
Brad Keller was the winning pitcher going 5 innings giving up 3 runs on 5 hits and 6 strikeouts.
Greg Holland earned his 3rd save with a 1-2-3 9th.
Monday night the Royals are scheduled to host the Pittsburgh Pirates. Mike Minor will be on the mound with the first pitch set for 7:10p.
