Andrew Benintendi hit a grand slam and Salvador Perez hit 2 home runs to power the Kansas City Royals to a 10-5 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates Tuesday night.
Benintendi drove in the Royals first run with a single and gave the Royals the lead for good with a 5th inning grand slam.
Salvador Perez hit a 2 run home run in the 4th inning and added a solo home run in the 7th inning.
Brady Singer was the winning pitcher going 5 and two-thirds innings giving up 5 runs on 8 hits he also struck out 6 and walked only 1.
The Royals are now a game over 500 at 27-26. They are off Wednesday. They will begin at 4 game series with the Minnesota Twins Thursday.
