USD 284 Chase County’s Board of Education has passed a COVID Reopening Plan.
The board is making masks optional and is allowing patrons or outside groups to use its facilities, although these groups need to fill out a Facilities Use Form for district approval. Increased disinfection measures will continue. For summer weight programs, participants will continue in cohorts with current cleaning procedures continuing.
The district is recommending social distancing when possible and continued frequent handwashing. Students and staff who are sick should not attend school or work.
The district says it will monitor and follow all Chase County Health Department quarantine guidelines and requirements, while students and staff will follow community and county health requirements of host locations if they have to travel.
Chase County has the fewest number of coronavirus cases in the KVOE listening area at 276.
