Four people, including a Eureka resident, suffered potentially serious injuries as part of a head-on crash just west of El Dorado late Friday.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says the incident happened shortly before 11:30 pm on Kansas Highway 254. An SUV driven by 45-year-old Amy Brown of Eureka was eastbound in the westbound lanes and hit a car driven by 19-year-old Dylan Lawson of Augusta.
Both Brown and Lawson were taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita for treatment, as were Lawson’s passengers, 18-year-old Alexandria Epp and 17-year-old Lila Fisher, both of El Dorado. Brown was the only person in her vehicle. Lawson and Epp were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. It’s unclear if Brown or Fisher were properly restrained.
