With this being Flag Day, the Emporia Lions Club has a special activity planned for Monday afternoon and evening.
The club has a permit to wave flags on the Prairie Street pedestrian walkway above Interstate 35 and will be there from 4-6 pm for that purpose. The public is encouraged to attend and take part.
The club had a similar event last year on Road S overlooking Interstate 35.
