Jon Rahm finished with birdies on the 17th and 18th holes to win the US Open by one shot on Sunday.
Rahm was part of a crowded pack at the top of the leaderboard that included defending champion Bryson DeChambeau and Rory Mcilroy. Rahm finished with a 67 for his round, becoming the first player to birdie the last two holes to win the US Open by a single stroke. DeChambeau shot a 44 on the back nine and wound up with a 77 for the round, while McIlroy shot a 73.
Louis Oosthuizen finished second.
Earlier this season, Rahm led the Memorial through 54 holes, tying the course record in the process, but was forced to withdraw after contracting COVID-19.
