Dean Hollenbeck’s 15-year tenure leading Flint Hills Technical College officially comes to an end next week, and area residents are encouraged to wish him well in his retirement Friday.
The official farewell party and recognition event is at the college’s main campus student commons from 2-4 pm. Hollenbeck says he has enjoyed his time leading the college.
Hollenbeck’s last day is Wednesday before he moves to northern Oklahoma to be closer to family. He has led the college for 15 years and has overseen an expansion in both student enrollment and programs during his tenure. Dr. Caron Daugherty, Hollenbeck’s replacement, will officially start Thursday but will be in town next week before her tenure begins.
Remarks and a formal dedication will take place at 2:15 pm.
