Sunday will be another rainy dreary day in the KVOE listening area, however, not to the level of days past.
National Weather Service Topeka Meteorologist Shawn Byrne says light rainfall is forecasted throughout the area through the day Sunday. He says the rainfall will be a far cry from the heavy totals that were dumped on the area Friday into Saturday.
Rainfall is likely to continue in the coming days with a 50 percent chance of precipitation in the forecast for Monday. Tuesday has a 60 percent chance of showers with another 50 percent chance on Wednesday.
The Storm Prediction Center is calling for chances of scattered and isolated storm activity throughout the coming week, although the risk of any of these storms turning severe is relatively low at this time.
Rainfall totals ranging from 0.75 inches to over 7 inches in the listening area recently led to two Lyon County roads being barricaded and likely remaining so until Monday at the earliest:
*1100 block W
*Road 150 between T and V
