The Friends of the Emporia Animal Shelter put on its Spay-ghetti and No Balls meal Sunday to fundraise and increase awareness for spaying and neutering and the medical care for pets.
The drive-thru format of the fundraiser made it easy for attendees to enjoy a spaghetti and pizza dinner.
Even though it was a fun and casual atmosphere at the Clover Leaf building on the Lyon County Fairgrounds, FEAS member Deb Ghere says that medical care for pets should be treated seriously and promptly.
Ghere says that the Emporia Animal Shelter offers a variety of treatments that could prove vital to an animal’s health.
For more information about the group, call Ghere at 481-0889 or find the group on Facebook. Fundraising totals are currently pending.
