Urban and small stream flood advisories have ended, but the risk of flooding remains.
Flood advisories had impacted several area counties — Coffey, Morris, Osage and Wabaunsee — for much of Wednesday afternoon before conditions improved. Parts of Lyon and Coffey counties were also under a flash flood warning, but that has since expired.

*Americus: 3 inches Wednesday
*Neosho Rapids: 1.1 inches Wednesday, 9.35 inches since Friday
Flash flood watches continue for Lyon, Coffey and Osage counties until 7 am Thursday. A flood watch is also ongoing for Greenwood County until 7 am Thursday.
3:30 pm Wednesday: List of road closures and flood related advisories continue to grow Wednesday
Continuous rainfall has led to more road closures and a series of new weather-related advisories being announced for the KVOE listening area.
The National Weather Service has issued an urban and small stream flood advisory for Coffey and Osage counties until 4:30 pm Wednesday. A separate advisory affecting northern Osage and Wabaunsee counties is in place until 5:30 pm.
These advisories come on top of a flash flood watch for Lyon, Coffey and Osage counties that has been extended until 7 am Thursday. Separate flood watches also continue for Chase and Greenwood counties until 7 pm Wednesday.
The Lyon County Highway Department has announced several road closures through the day Wednesday:
*Road 150 and P
*Road 155 between F-5 and G
*Road 190 between L-5 and M
*Road 240 between D and E-5
*Road 215 between F and H5; at J
*Road K between 190 and 210
Rain chances continue through mid-evening and could bring anywhere from one to two inches of additional precipitation on top of the 1.5 to two inches that accumulated in the listening area between Monday night and Tuesday morning.

1:48 pm Wednesday: Flash flood watch extended for Lyon, Coffey and Osage counties
The National Weather Service has extended its flash flood watch for portions of the KVOE listening area through early Thursday.
The flash flood watch involving Lyon, Coffey and Osage counties has now been extended until 7 am Thursday. Separate flood watches for Chase and Greenwood counties continue until 7 pm Wednesday evening.
The current forecast is calling for continued rainfall which could bring anywhere from one to two inches of precipitation in addition to the 1.5 to two inches plus that have already fallen in the listening area since Monday night or Tuesday morning with some higher local totals.

Noon Wednesday: WEATHER: Flash flood warning issued for southeast Lyon, southwest Coffey counties
A flash flood warning has been issued for two counties in the KVOE listening area through the early afternoon hours Wednesday.
Southeast Lyon County and southwest Coffey County are in the warning until 2:00 pm Wednesday. Forecasts are calling for an additional two inches of rainfall on top of recent totals from earlier in the week.
The warning comes on top of an ongoing flash flood watch for Lyon, Coffey and Osage counties and a flood watch for Chase and Greenwood counties until 7 pm.

Moderate to heavy rainfall is starting to cause scattered travel issues in Lyon County.
KVOE listeners have reported water over several county roads:
*Road G between 240 and 260
*Road L between 310 and 320. The water flow has been reduced since the original reports shortly after 7 am.
Two roads are currently closed:
*Road 155 between F-5 and G
*Road 240 between D and E-5

6:40 am Wednesday: Urban and small stream flood advisories posted for Lyon, several surrounding counties
A threat of widespread rainfall continues across most of the KVOE listening area Wednesday.
Lyon, Coffey and Osage counties remain in a flash flood watch until 7 pm. Chase and Greenwood counties are in separate flood watches that also end at 7 pm.
Shorter-term, an urban and small stream flood advisory is in effect for Lyon and eastern Morris counties until 7 am. A separate advisory impacts southeastern Wabaunsee County unil 8:30 am. Anywhere from 0.3 to 1 inch of rain has fallen in the warned areas earlier Wednesday, and there is a possibility of an inch or more of new rainfall Wednesday morning.
