Money matters — in a variety of categories — will lead the Lyon County Commission’s action meeting Thursday.
Julie Govert Walter will present the North Central-Flint Hills Area Agency on Aging budget request. The agenda item comes two weeks after Emporia Senior Center Director Ian Boyd accused the Area Agency of not paying certain bills to the Senior Center for its help with the daily senior meals program.
The county will look at the overall budget later in the meeting.
Separately, Controller Dan Williams will present an item that would rescind a decision to approve a feasibility study underlying the county’s fiber-to-the-home project. Lyon County had hust approved a $23,500 contract with TCA but is now considering a proposal from Moss Adams.
On top of those financial items, commissioners may consider the Community Development Block Grant benefiting A1 Pump and Jet’s expansion. Commissioners approved the grant application back in March.
The meeting starts at 9 am in the County Courthouse.
