No serious injuries were reported after following a two-vehicle accident in Chase County Friday afternoon.
The crash occurred on Interstate 35 at mile marker 98.8 northbound shortly before 3 pm. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol crash log, a 2005 Grand Caravan driven by 44-year-old Kathlena Frank of Wichita was traveling northbound when Frank lost control and struck the left side of a semi, driven by 50-year-old Kellie Melvin of Weaubleau Missouri.
The Frank vehicle then struck the median barrier wall and came to a rest on the guard rail. Frank suffered possible injuries according to KHP and was complaining of pain following the accident.
Melvin was not injured. Both individuals were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.
