One woman suffered minor injuries as part of a vehicle crash in east Emporia around sunrise Wednesday.
Emporia Police and Emporia Fire responded to 702 Lakeview after the wreck around 6:30 am. Police Officer Kenny Rodriguez says the driver swerved to miss a cat in the middle of the street and hit a parked car instead.
An ambulance took the woman to Newman Regional Health for observation and treatment.
