Lyon County commissioners will be holding an action session this Thursday to address some potential changes and alterations that will affect the community.
They will be considering approving an agreement to rescind a decision that would approve a feasibility study contract for Lyon County’s fiber-to-the-home project. Commissioners will be possibly finalizing an agreement with Moss Adams, making sure to not exceed $30,000 to be paid from fund. Commissioners had reached an agreement with TCA before a conflict of interest was discovered. Commissioners terminated that contract last week.
The commission will also process a resolution to terminate the Interlocal Agreement for the Emporia-Lyon County Metropolitan Planning Area. The new concept will introduce an urban growth area that will hopefully outline future growth areas as well as different potential zoning options within those areas.
After approving a grant application last March, commissioners will also be considering the approval of the Community Development Block Grant involving A1 Pump & Jet Services.
The meeting will be held at 9am at the County Courthouse.
