This month’s Front Porch Jam will be Friday night at 208 East Bitler street from 7 pm until 10 pm. Jeanna Scheve, the event’s founder, and organizer has set her porch to be the venue for the Porch Jam.
The Jam will feature music from Scheve, Lee Muller, Rod Durst, and Jane McCoy with a special Olpe High School guest Connor Kueser who is helping to raise money for the Olpe Highschool music program.
Scheve says the event started with an idea to do something good for the community.
Donations for the Porch Jam are placed in a hat that is passed around during the event. All donations go to help the Olpe highschool music department for general needs.
The Porch Jam is a 21 and older event. Listeners are encouraged to bring a chair and beverages. For more information, visit the Front Porch Jams of Lyon County Facebook page.
