Severe weather risks can’t be ruled out for Friday night or much of Saturday, but they appear to be on the low end of the scale.
The Storm Prediction Center has the area in a marginal risk of severe weather for late Friday night and early Saturday morning. A marginal-to-slight risk period is in place for Saturday afternoon and evening, with areas south of a Waverly-to-Hartford-to Teterville line in the slight risk area. In both cases, wind gusts to 60 mph and heavy rainfall are the main concerns. Hail to the size of quarters is also possible Friday night.
There is also a decent chance of storms for Sunday, but severe weather is not expected.
