After 4 days and 7 rounds of Disc Golf 9 champions were crowned at the PDGA Junior Disc Golf World Championships Saturday.
In the boys 18 and under division Kade Filimoehala of Kaysville, Utah finished in 1st place at 54 under par to win by 9 strokes. He did not take the lead until he was 14 under par for the 6th round.
Tyler Wright of Council Grove finished in 24th place and Abram Brazzle of Emporia finished in 43rd place.
In the girls 18 and under division Melody Castruita of Bastrop, Texas repeated as a champion winning by 2 strokes and finished 28 under par.
Melody said having her sisters play well, Aria won the 15 and under championship and Hayley finished in 3rd place.
In the boys 15 and under division Luke Taylor of Shepard, Michigan finished 60 under par to win by 1 stroke. He overcame a 7 stroke deficit after the 5th round.
Brennan Haag of Emporia finished in a tie for 54th place.
In the girls 15 and under division Aria Castruita of Bastrop, Texas was a runaway winner finishing 25 under par and winning by 31 strokes.
Carly Jordon of Neosho Rapids finished in 5th place.
Wyatt Mahoney of Glastonbury, Connecticut won the boys 12 and under championship. He won the 10 and under championship in 2019.

Girls 12 and under – Ava Meyer of Belton, Missouri.
Boys 10 and under – Gabriel Anderson of Bailey, Colorado.
Girls 10 and under – M.J. Gager of Jeffersonton, Virginia.
Boys 8 and under – Nathan Brewer of Findley, Minnesota.
