Monday was a busy day for several local golfers.
Gentry Scheve and Caleb Schmid played in a USGA US Amateur qualifying tournament at Blue Hills Country Club in Kansas City, Missouri. Gentry Scheve finished the 2 rounds at plus 5 and Caleb Schmid finished at plus 8. Only 2 golfers qualified for the US Amateur tournament.
4 local golfers played in the final Kansas Junior Tour tournament at Topeka Country Club.
Brooks Sauder finished in 11th place with an 81. Caden Massey finished in a tie for 20th place with an 87.
In the boys 13-15-year-old division, Hudson Sauder finished in 12th place with a 90 and Nolan Jacob finished in 14th place with a 96.
4 local golfers have qualified for the Junior Tour Championship, Caden Massey, Hudson Sauder, Avary Eckert, and Olivia Eckert.
The Junior Tour Championship will be played at Stagg Hill on July 26th and 27th.
4 local golfers will be playing in the Kansas Amateur Match play tournament next week. Caden Massey, Brooks Sauder, Gentry Scheve, and Caleb Schmid.
The Kansas Amateur Match play tournament will be played at Wichitas Crestview Country Club beginning next Tuesday.
