Emporian Caleb Schmid was eliminated in the 111th Kansas Amateur Match Play Golf Tournament on Thursday.
Schmid took on New Zealand’s Harry Hillier in the first match of lower-bracket play. Hillier won 5 and 3.
Three other Emporia golfers, Caden Massey, Brooks Sauder and Gentry Scheve, were eliminated after the second round of stroke play Wednesday.
