The Garmin Lunar Ride is coming Saturday night.
A lot is happening in and around Emporia for the event. Participants have the option of 25-mile or 50-mile options — or rides as long as they like. There are also other activities coming, according to organizer Kristi Mohn.
In addition, the block party in the Gravel City Adventure and Supply Company parking lot behind 716 Commercial will feature numerous beers, food trucks and live music from The Box Turtles. Organizer Lucas Moody:
There are five golden tickets to the 2022 Unbound Gravel events available as part of the Lunar Ride.
As many as 350 riders could be taking part.
Online registration is underway. In-person registration is at Gravel City Adventure and Supply from 3-6 pm Friday and again from 12-6 pm Saturday. Cost is $50. Start times are 6 pm and 8 pm. Riders on the 25-mile route will go up to Americus and back, while 50-mile riders will go into far southeast Morris County before coming back to Emporia.
