The Lyon County carnival returned after a year of covid with a warm welcome.
The carnival brought its signature rides, games, and food that residents have loved for years.
Aaron Larson of Emporia said he was happy to see his favorite part of the fair again.
Colton Springer of Americus says the fair still has some of the same appeals as when he was younger.
The Lyon County fair and carnival continue throughout the week with the truck and tractor pull Friday, followed by another wrist band night at the carnival.

Friday the beef show starts at 8:30 am and bucket calf shows start at 5:30 pm
Saturday you can catch the meat goat show at 8 am with the sheep show at 6 pm. And Sunday is the swine show at 8 am.
