Another schedule adjustment to the community calendar has been announced, however, this adjustment is not COVID related.
The Lyon County Fair Board is canceling the truck and tractor pull scheduled for Friday evening due to the heavy rainfall that impacted the listening area through the late evening and overnight hours. Fair Board Vice President Jeremiah Corpening says the decision was with the safety of participants and attendees alike in mind.
At this time, the Fair Board is still planning to hold the annual demolition derby Saturday night. The demo derby is scheduled to take place in the Lyon County Fairgrounds grandstands at 7 pm.
Corpening says a formal decision on whether or not to move forward with the demo derby will be made Saturday morning.
