With the Greater Emporia Area Disaster Relief Fund’s #VaxToNormal campaign less than a month away from concluding, organizers are adding more COVID-19 vaccination events.
United Way of the Flint Hills Director Mickey Edwards had details on both upcoming clinics on KVOE’s Morning Show on Tuesday:
Vaccinators will be at the Emporia Main Street office during the Welcome Back Block Party on Aug. 23 and at the Flint Hills Technical College main campus conference center for the event Aug. 26. The public is encouraged to get vaccinated during those events.
On the incentive side, this past Friday saw the number of $50 gift cards available during the weekly drawings increase from five to 10. The grand prize drawing is Sept. 10 for fully-vaccinated residents and students at either Emporia State University or Flint Hills Technical College. Packages include:
*The grand prize is a home improvement package including a PrairieLand Partners John Deere S-120 lawn tractor and utility trailer, a Green Mountain Peak grill from Waters Hardware, a saw and table from Mark II Lumber and more
