Punter Ross Brungardt also returns he averaged 38 yards per punt as a freshman and had 9 punts of over 50 yards.
Redshirt freshman Kenneth Hartwig will take over the long-snapping duties.
The Hornets will practice again Thursday before they get Friday off.
