The Kansas City Royals came up short Thursday afternoon, losing to the Houston Astros 6-3 in 10 innings.
The Royals scored 1st on a Salvador Perez sacrifice fly in the first inning.
Nicky Lopez added a 2 run home run in the 3rd inning to give the Royals a 3-0 lead. The Astros tied the game with a run in the 4th and 2 runs in the 6th. They broke the 3-3 tie with 3 runs in the top of the 10th. The Royals did win the series 3 games to 1.
Friday afternoon the Royals being a weekend series in Chicago against the Cubs. Brad Keller will be the starting pitcher for the Royals with first pitch at 1:20 pm.
