Work is underway to repave part of Kansas Highway 99 south of Emporia.
Crews have started a resurfacing project at the east junction of K-99 and US Highway 54 outside Eureka. Work will push north to the Lyon-Greenwood county line through September or early October.
This is a $1.5 million mill and overlay project, with the contract going to Shilling Construction of Manhattan. Flaggers and a pilot car will take one-lane traffic through the work zone, but delays could run around 15 minutes.
