The Baltimore Orioles outscored the Kansas City Royals 9-8 Wednesday night, scoring all 9 runs in the 8th inning.
The Royals had built a 5-0 lead scoring a run in the 1st and 3rd innings. They added 2 runs in the 5th inning and Salvador Perez hit his 42nd home run of the season in the 7th.
Mike Minor shut out the Orioles thru 6 innings but the bullpen could not shut the door.
The Royals tried to rally in the 9th scoring 3 runs on Andrew Benintendi’s home run.
The Royals and Orioles wrap up their 4 game series Thursday night. Carlos Hernandez will be the starting pitcher for the Royals with the first pitch set for 6:05.
