One person was taken to the hospital after a tractor crash near Americus on Monday evening.
Americus Fire and Emporia first responders were called to the 2300 block of Road H, about two miles east of Americus and six miles north of Emporia, for a rollover crash report shortly after 8:30 pm. Lyon County Deputy Danny Broyles says the driver, an 82-year-old man, was mowing with the tractor got top-heavy and rolled over.
The currently unnamed man suffered apparently minor injuries but was taken to Newman Regional Health for observation and treatment afterward.
