ESB Financials shred and e-waste recycling day was wildly popular Saturday morning.
The event that started at 9 am at the bank’s Merchant Street location was met with steady lines that had the Shred truck filled to its 8 thousand pound capacity by 10. ESB Financial Vice-President Karen Sommers was excited about the turnout but disappointed they had to turn people away, and they are bringing the shred truck back very soon.
Sommers said the annual event that had to be postponed twice in the past year due to the pandemic offers the opportunity for area residents to get personal documents shredded for free to lower the risk of identity theft and help the environment.
