The Seattle Mariners defeated the Kansas City Royals 7-1 Sunday. Whit Merrifield scored on a Nicky Lopez single in the 6th inning for the Royals’ lone run. The Mariners did hit 3 home runs.
Monday the Royals play a doubleheader in Cleveland. The first pitch for game 1 is set for 3:10 pm.
