The Emporia State cross country teams had a very good day at the Emporia State Invitational.
2 individual champions and a team championship.
Matthew Maki ran a course record time to finish first in the mens race with a time of 24:49.04.
Connor Young finished in 4th place, Sam Hegeli 6th, Tyler Swift 10th, Aidan Massey 13th and Justyn France 14th as the Emporia State men finished in 1st place.
Emporia States Jenna Ramsey also ran a course record time to finish in first place with a time of 18:11.91.
Hannah Showalter finished in 13th place, Irina Honc finished 14th, Kaitlyn Karjala finished in 19th place. Makenzie Tucker finished 21st and Sophia Dewitt 22nd. As a team the Emporia State women finished in 2nd place. Fort Hays State won the team title.
