More MIAA weekly honors for Emporia State athletes.
Mackenzie Dimarco has been named the MIAA Soccer Offensive player of the week. Dimarco scored 4 goals, 3 against Nebraska Kearney and 1 against Fort Hays State. She now leads the MIAA in goals scored this season with 9 goals.
Jillian Patton has been named the Goalie of the week. Patton did not give up a goal in the first half against Nebraska Kearney and had a shutout against Fort Hays State. She has not given up a goal in over 200 minutes of play. The shutout was the 2nd of the season and the 15th of her career.
The Emporia State soccer team slipped 1 spot in this week’s national coaches poll. They are ranked 6th this week.
Central Missouri is the only other ranked MIAA team. They are ranked 18th.
Grand Valley State has taken over the top spot in this week’s poll.
