Hospital bed availability increased slightly at Newman Regional Health.
Daily bed space is now at five on average between Sept. 15-28. It was four between Sept. 15-21 and was at two between Aug. 25 and Sept. 14.
The daily average of COVID-positive patients at the hospital remains at eight, where it has been basically all September. Average wait times for patient transfers ranged from just over an hour to over 40 hours, with the median around 90 minutes.
Newman Regional Health has recorded 37 hospitalized patients between July 1 and Sept. 28. Of those, 34 were unvaccinated.
