Power outages affecting the Olpe area were restored quickly.
Three outages were reported around Olpe around 12:35 pm. Evergy says all three outages were restored by 1:15 pm. The early indications are an unspecified piece of equipment got loose, causing all three outages — two south of Olpe and one to the north.
Close to 420 Evergy customers were affected.

Olpe-area residents are dealing with three power outages Saturday afternoon.
The outages — two just south of Olpe, one just north — were all reported around 12:35 pm. Currently, over 400 Evergy customers are impacted.
The outages happened near the end of the morning activities for the Olpe Downhome Fall Festival. There has been no reported impact to those activities, although some activities were closed early due to rain.
Evergy currently expects power to be restored after 2 pm. There is no word on what caused the outages.
