For over two decades, Terry Barham taught choral music at Emporia State University to such a level that he was inducted into the Kansas Music Educators Association Hall of Fame after he retired.
On Saturday, Barham was inducted into Emporia State’s Beach Hall of Distinction during the Department of Music’s annual Gala Benefit Concert.
Under most circumstances, the concert features choral and instrumental music, but this year the concert featured strictly choral selections — some serious, some not so much.
Proceeds from the concert benefit students that are both music majors and non-majors. Totals are pending.
