Emporia State linebacker Jace McDown has been named the MIAA defensive player of the week. McDown returned an interception for a touchdown in Saturday’s 35-30 win over Washburn. He also finished with 5 tackles including 1 for a loss, a quarterback hurry, and a pass break up.
