The Coolest Thing Made in Kansas could well come from Coffey County.
Hometown Pie Company’s made-from-scratch pies are now among the contest’s final four selections alongside Yoder Smokers’ Frontiersman 30, metal prints and wood prints made by Mpix and the VOLTAR 2.0 Solar UPS made by ESPi.
Hometown Pie Company has defeated beef jerky from Pat’s Beef Jerky, custom limestone rock signs from Fisher Rocks and a scale model from Scale Structures in prior rounds of the competition. If Hometown Pie Company wins, it will follow EMP Shield of Burlington, which won the initial competition last year.
