Overall cases continue to climb and active cases increased minimally in Lyon County Public Health’s latest COVID-19 data report.
Wednesday, Public Health reported 34 new cases between Monday and Wednesday putting the county’s overall total at 5,376 since late last March. With 33 recoveries reported, active cases increased by one from 136 to 137.
Of the 137 active cases, 28 are considered breakthrough cases. An overall total of 194 breakthrough cases have been identified in Lyon County to this point.
Of those 194 cases, 100 individuals were vaccinated with the Moderna Vaccine, 52 received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine and 42 were vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine.
Deaths remained stable at 90 with one case pending final cause information from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. Active hospitalizations continued a recent steady decline and fell from three to two.
