Jack Mouse and Janice Borla have been married for over 30 years, playing high-level jazz along the way. They performed at the Emporia Granada Theatre on Saturday night for the second time in three years.
An Emporia native, Mouse has been playing drums since age 4 and is a member of the Emporia High Hall of Fame. Borla, meanwhile, began her music training at age8 on keyboard before moving to vocal lessons at age 12.
Mouse and Borla brought a powerhouse band with them Saturday, including Blue Lou Marini on saxophone, Fareed Haque on guitar, Larry Gray on bass and fellow Emporia native Mike Steinel on trumpet.
