Emporia Police are asking residents to be on the lookout for a red mini-van after a two vehicle collision in east Emporia Sunday.
A report for a possible injury accident sent police and first responders to the intersection of East 8th Ave. and Sylvan Street around 3:30 pm. According to Emporia Police at the scene, a 2006 Chevy Impala was traveling south on Sylvan and saw a red minivan approaching the intersection on 8th.
The van reportedly failed to yield, striking the Impala on the passenger side and then allegedly continued on east on 8th and then turned north. The driver of the Impala had complaints of neck pain but did not need to be transported.
Authorities say they are currently looking for the van involved and say it will have damage to its front end. No additional description of the vehicle or driver is available at this time.
