The Emporia State volleyball team rallied to defeat Fort Hays State in 5 sets Monday night.
Fort Hays won the first two sets 25-23, 25-23.
Emporia State rallied to win the next 3 sets 25-17, 25-20, and 16-14.
Coach Bing Xu said they played their game.
Freshman Megan Stretton led the offense with 17 kills.
Sophomore Shelby Ebert added 12 kills and Super Senior Mikayla Simons added 10 kills.
With the win, the Lady Hornets improve to 4-12 and 2-7 in the MIAA.
They play at Missouri Western on Friday.
