Deadlines are approaching for people, groups, organizations or businesses wanting to take part in two upcoming parades.
The Dia de los Muertos parade will take place at 10:30 am Oct. 30 as part of Emporia’s annual Dia de los Muertos Celebration as organized by Hispanics of Today and Tomorrow. Entry forms are online at www.hottfiesta.com.
Also, the 68th annual Veterans Day parade will take place on the holiday, Nov. 11, at 9:30 am. It’s organized by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1980. Entry forms are online are www.visitemporia.com/veterans-parade-forms.
The deadline to submit entry forms for both parades is Friday.
