Emporia Highs Avary Eckert finished in 5th place at the 5A State golf tournament that wrapped up Tuesday.
She finished the 2 days with a 161 with 78 and 83.
Olivia Eckert finished in 13th place with a 2 day total of 173 with 88 and 85.
Those are the best individual finishes ever at State for Emporia High girls golf.
Kinslea Jones of Maize took Medalist honors with a 148.
Kapaun Mt Carmel won the team title Hays finished 2nd and Mill Valley 3rd. Emporia High finished in 8th place, the best finish ever for an Emporia High girls golf team at State.
At the 6A Tournament played at the Emporia Golf Course Blue Valley West won the team title. Washburn Rural finished 2nd and Shawnee Mission East 3rd.
Julia Misemer of Blue Valley West took medalist honors with a 4 over 146.
