Lyon County Commissioners made quick work of a brief agenda during their weekly action session Thursday.
During the new business portion of the meeting, commissioners approved signing a letter of support for Emporia’s Presbyterian Manor which is planning to submit an application to the Kansas Department of Transportation for an F-21 grant to assist with operating and capital expenditures. The exact dollar amount being sought was not stated.
Commissioners approved the signing of a letter 3-0.
Separately, commissioners also gave unanimous approval to a quote from 4 Rivers Electric Cooperative for the relocation of a service line for a bridge replacement project through the Lyon County Highway Department. The total cost of the work line relocation comes out to $9,500.
The bridge replacement is taking place on Road 75, also known as Olpe Hartford Road, east of Olpe.
Commissioners also held one executive session with no action taken.
The Lyon County Commission will reconvene at 9 am next Thursday for its weekly action session inside the Lyon County Courthouse.
