The Chase County Bulldogs closed out the regular season with a 46-0 senior night victory over the Oxford Wildcats Friday.
The Bulldogs jumped out to a quick lead and built an impressive 40-0 lead in the first half thanks to a combined five touchdowns between junior quarterback Mitch Budke and sophomore tailback Brock Griffin. The Bulldogs would close out the win in the third after Budke found the endzone from five yards out.
Griffin ended the night with 116 yards rushing and two touchdowns. He says it was a great night for the whole team.
Head Coach Brody Vandegrift says it feels good to enter the postseason with a win.
With the win, Chase County finishes the regular season with a record of 7-1 and secures the two seed in their division. Oxford falls to 1-7. Chase County will open post-season play against Yates Center next Thursday night.
