Heavy rainfall is possible with showers and storms that could move across the KVOE listening area early Wednesday.
Storms could move in after midnight, staying through Wednesday and bringing anywhere from 0.50 to 2 inches of rain to the area by Wednesday night — after we had anywhere from 1-4 inches of rainfall Saturday, followed by lesser rain totals Sunday. Several Lyon County roads — 150 between R and S, P between 140 and 150 and R between 150 and 160 — are still closed after the heavy weekend rainfall, and isolated to scattered flooding is a concern Wednesday.
Officially, there is now a marginal severe weather risk areawide. Hail and high winds are the main concern, but all indications are the storms will be losing their punch as they approach Emporia.
