The David Traylor Zoo is gearing up for a scary good time this Halloween.
The zoo’s annual Halloween event Boo in the Zoo is making a return Sunday after taking a year off due to COVID-19. The free event will include trick-or-treating and Halloween-themed games for children and families to enjoy.
Zoo Education Coordinator Dehlia Sutton says as always, residents are highly encouraged to dress up for the event.
Not only is this the first Boo in the Zoo since 2019, it will also be the first large-scale public event since the zoo unveiled its new entrance earlier this year. Boo in the Zoo begins at 3 pm and will run until 4:30 pm.
Social distancing is encouraged when inside the zoo and hand sanitizing stations will be located throughout the zoo.
