The State High School Volleyball tournaments began Friday.
Emporia High played in the 5A Tournament in Salina.
The Lady Spartans opened against Spring Hill. Spring Hill the #3 seed won the match 25-22, 25-17.
Emporia High was defeated by St. Thomas Aquinas 25-12, 25-18.
They then lost to Topeka Seaman 25-22, 25-22. They finished the season with a record of 26 and 12.
Lebo is the number 1 seed at the 1A Division II tournament being played at Emporia’s White Auditorium.
They opened with a 25-17, 25-10 win over Bucklin.
Lebo defeated Hutchinson Central Christian 25-11, 25-19.
They defeated Grainfield-Wheatland-Grinnell 30-28, 25-12.
Lebo will play Central Plains in the semi-finals Saturday morning at 9 am. The other semi-final has Hanover playing Hutchinson Central Christian.
Burlingame played at the 1A Division I State Tournament in Dodge City. They were defeated by Little River in their first match 25-22, 25-22. They lost to Centralia 25-10, 25-16.
and lost to Spearville 19-25, 25-12, 25-16.
