Post-season honors are beginning to roll in for Emporia State athletes.
18 members of the football team have been named to the All-MIAA team.
Linebacker Jace McDown is a first-team selection. It is the 2nd first-team selection for McDown.
Ross Brungardt is a unanimous first-team selection at punter.
6 Hornets are on the 2nd team.
Running back Canaan Brooks, Dalton Cowan as an All-Purpose back. Offensive lineman Conner Lierz, Defensive linemen Marek Thompson and Jordan Williams, and kicker Sam Dobbins.
4 Hornets were named to the 3rd team, Quarterback Braden Gleason, Offensive lineman Hayden Reed, Defensive back Jaedon Pool, and Billy Ross as a kick returner.
6 Hornets received honorable mentions – Xavier Cason, Rafe Goucher, Dawson Hammes, Cade Harelson, Corey Thomas, and Miles Wade.
The Hornets finished the regular season with a 6-5 record and in 5th place in the MIAA standings.
Two members of the Emporia State volleyball team have received All MIAA honors.
